Neurocritical Care Q&A Board Review is a comprehensive interactive self-assessment app for clinicians that are preparing for the Neurocritical Care examination. The first question-and-answer review app in this field, it will help professionals quickly and efficiently review specific topics in Neurocritical Care. The app covers the key topics pertinent to (and found on) neurocritical care boards, and is organized according to the exam core curriculum outline. Over 650 questions address both neuroscience critical care (general neurology, neurotrauma, neurovascular and neurosurgical problems) and general critical care topics (systems trauma, cardiovascular, infectious disease, pulmonary and renal issues, and hemodynamic monitoring). Detailed rationales are provided for each question. Where relevant, neuroimaging, EEG and monitoring waveforms, and other images are included in case questions to allow candidates to familiarize themselves with these tools that form a significant part of the exam.

Users can browse questions randomly or by topic, and create custom timed quizzes of varying lengths with a predetermined number of questions pulled from the topic list or as a random selection. Immediate feedback (correct/incorrect) is provided if desired, and detailed rationales explaining each answer choice can be accessed for every question. Difficult questions can be bookmarked for further review later, and these questions can also be pulled as separate quizzes to build strength in areas of weakness. The note-taking feature allows users to add notes to individual questions. The program tracks performance on all quizzes, and results can be saved and compared over time to monitor performance.
